Synopsis

In this CME-accredited live webinar, expert cardiologists Dr. Carolyn SP Lam and Dr. Ismail Raed Raslan will explore the evolving role of systemic inflammation in heart failure with preserved and mildly reduced ejection fraction (HFpEF and HFmrEF). Through a review of pathophysiological mechanisms, emerging evidence from studies including POSEIDON, current standards of care, and novel anti-inflammatory approaches such as IL-6 pathway inhibition, participants will gain practical insights into current and future management strategies for these complex patient populations.

This activity is supported by an independent support grant from Novo Nordisk

Objectives

After completing this activity, participants should be better prepared to:

  • Describe the role of systemic inflammation in heart failure with preserved and mildly reduced ejection fraction (HFpEF and HFmrEF)
  • Recognise biomarkers and clinical correlates of inflammatory activation
  • Summarise the current standard of care in HFpEF and HFmrEF
  • Discuss emerging anti-inflammatory therapeutic strategies, including IL-6 pathway approaches
