Enhancing outcomes in Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome: Disease insights and management strategies

This CME accredited course provides a comprehensive overview of Lennox-Gastaut syndrome (LGS), examining its neurophysiologic and genetic foundations, hallmark clinical features, and evolving diagnostic frameworks. Faculty review characteristic seizure types, EEG patterns, and the broader cognitive and behavioral comorbidities that contribute to disease burden and caregiver impact. Evidence-based pharmacologic and nonpharmacologic treatment strategies are discussed within the context of international guideline recommendations and real-world resource variability. The program also explores disparities in access to care, multidisciplinary management approaches, and emerging advances in precision medicine and therapeutic innovation. Together, this activity offers clinicians a practical, global perspective to support timely diagnosis and optimized long-term management of LGS.
